Christmas Fun!

Christmas is almost upon us, and to prepare for this holiday season I've been wrapping gifts, decorating, making videos, and most importantly thinking about the real reason for the season: the birth of THE Savior.

For Christmas we always get together with our grandparents, so right now I am without WLMM to put together my videos and without a cord for my camera... I will see if I can work something out. So, while I prepare my Christmas posts, let's look at some of my favorite blog posts this season!

Over at Doll-icious' blog, they are celebrating Christmas with a new family member: Hazel, a gorgeous MAG #55! She has a gorgeous photoshoot by the tree!

This photo belongs to Marie-Grace Cole at agdoll-icious.blogspot.com

Don't you love her impromptu infinity scarf?

Pretty Lily at prettylilyanamericangirl.blogspot.com has a Christmas edition of This or That, which are always really fun!

Picture belongs to Pretty Lily.

Over at Onedolloutthere there is a huge Countdown to Christmas shabang with recipes, crafts, and really cute ideas!

Falling for Isabelle XD

Yeah, yeah, I remember. I posted my thoughts on Isabelle, and I was pretty angry with American Girl. I still think that they could do better. I still think that they need to up the anti.

I think it's Dolly Dorm Diaries'  (dollydormdiaries.blogspot.com) beautiful photography. I think it's those green eyes that I hadn't noticed.

But can you resist this face?

Yeah, I still think she's a bit original, and I'm not sure if I'll get her, but I LOVE those green eyes. I think the pink hair is pretty awesome, even though I dislike pink. XD

(N at paper-doll-world.blogspot.com got these pictures from Dolly Dorm Diaries, and I got them from her)

My Vacation: The Broadmoor Hotel

Hi, everyone!

It's Dally. I've been thoroughly enjoying my vacation, and I thought I'd check up on you!

I've just realized that I haven't taken any photos of the outside of the Broadmoor Hotel... oh well! Here are some pictures of the dolls and the view from my window!

The  mountains are so beautiful!

On Saturday night... the lights outside are so pretty!

The huge beds... so comfy!

I'm hoping to take some more pictures and maybe a stopmotion while I'm here... see you soon!

Upcoming News! ∞

Hello fellow doll entrepreneurs!

There is some bad news and some exciting news. Basically, I won't be able to post any this weekend because I am chunking two weeks of school into one right now... let's just say it isn't very fun.

But, the reason I am doing so much school this week is because I am going on vacation next week! Yessiree, I am going to be able to post on vacation and I will bring my dolls for updates and stopmotions. See you soon!

Can you guess where I'm going?

xxx Cyber Monday and Molly News xxx

Hi Guys!

It's Dally. The Cyber Monday sale is now open! Well, it opened at midnight, and it was a lot of fun to get up and look at the sales!

Here's what I've purchased. (some of them are Christmas presents...)

Emily's Holiday Dress - $14  This one is sold out already, so I'm glad I got it. I've always loved this one.

Molly's Bed - $47 (This bed used to be $92 so I thought it was a pretty good deal!)

Molly's Lunchbox- $14 If you can't already tell, the items I purchased are from Molly's collection and the lunchbox and Molly's Skating outfit are now sold out.

Molly's Skating Outfit - $14  I'm so glad I picked this up! It's now out of stock.

  So, that's a wrap!

But there's some sad news. As of right now, the Molly Doll is sold out completely, whether it's the boxed book set, with accessories, without or in the best friend collection. I'm not sure if she's sold out for sure, because they sometimes bring things back into stock, but for now it looks like we'll be saying so long to Molly!

Okay, Angelique is totally right... the American Girl Sale is TOMORROW on Cyber Monday, not Black Friday. *facepalm* See you at midnight tonight! >:)

Okay, I'm going to share some of of my new blogger <3s! These are new blogs that caught my eye.

  Some of my new finds...

Melody & me
meandmelly.blogspot.com (I hope you don't mind if I used your header to promote your blog, Jessica!)

I was really surprised at Jessica's creativity! She posts very frequently and all of her blurbs are clever and concise. She doesn't have an American Girl... yet! She is hoping to get #56, and she currently has a Vision Forum doll. named Melody. Check her out!

SodaPopStreetStudios

SodaPopStreet Studios Official Blog

This girl is TALENTED! You can find her on Etsy, Youtube, Instagram, and of course, Blogger! Originally known as MyInnerStarUStudios, she has really branched out! You can check her out at: http://www.youtube.com/user/SodaPopStreetStudioshttp://sodapopstreet.blogspot.com/, and http://www.etsy.com/shop/SodaPopStreet.  I think it's really cool that she got most of her dolls from the American Girl Charity Benefit, since she lives in Wisconsin (close to AG headquarters).

Doll-icious!

I LOVE Doll-icious! This is the title of her recent photoshoot (so gorgeous!) ^^^^^^^  and she has ELIZABETH! XDDDDDDD  You can find her at http://agdoll-icious.blogspot.com... she was also featured on the Picks of the Week for Doll Diaries! I can't wait until Nicki comes home from the doll hospital!

(Disclaimer: All photo rights go to the individual owners of the blogs and credit has been properly given... I'm advertising THEM, after all!)

See you soon! :)

Black Friday sales!

Yippee for Thanksgiving break!

Tomorrow we hope to post something Thanksgiving-y, but today we're going to give you some heads-ups on Black Friday dolls sales! I think I might wake up at twelve and do some online shopping at AG. :D

   * American Girl has GREAT sales on Black Friday, and they also sell some retired items (extra stock, I think) at great prices... but you have to be there early if you're going to get anything good!

*The other sale I know about is at A Girl for All Time... I was really considering getting one of these dolls but the price isn't very sweet going down... Black Friday and the week after they are having a sale of 10% off and free shipping... maybe Matilda will make her way to me on Christmas! ;)

My Thoughts on Isabelle

It's that time of year again!

Doll Diaries has released the above photo from an ebay listing... the GOTY 2014! Now it's time for opinions to be made, as well as guesses for future parts of her collection.

We thought we'd get in on the fun! So here is Saige's Locket's opinion of the GOTY 2014:

Of course, the pictures of Isabelle are not high quality, so I am not certain about her looks... but she is disappointing. I think that she is too main stream, considering all of the different face molds, hair and eye combinations and story lines that AG could've picked from.

She looks a lot like MAG #27 to me.

Char (DD) mentioned that Isabelle's hair was "ombre", which I'm guessing means that it kind of changes colors from top to bottom... I don't see it in this picture but it ought to be interesting.

Also, it's been said that there will be THREE books for Isabelle instead of two, which would be a welcome change.

Basically: Dance is not the only promising story line. Since this is a "sports oriented" GOTY year (it alternates between sports and creativity, usually), what about soccer, tennis, VOLLEYBALL, basketball, softball, track.... guys, the list is a bit too long to pick the same theme twice. Marisol was a dancer. Mckenna was a gymnast, and gymnastics is sometimes very closely incorporated with dancing.

So what I'm saying is: Get some real issues, American Girl. Your dolls these days are based on the majority of what young girls want... in the merchandise area. I know, you're a company and you need revenue to keep making products... but I think all of us would still buy if you went along the lines of unique. Kanani, one of the most unique dolls I've seen is one of the most wanted dolls on the secondary market!

Also, the stories. Saige was distraught because her school was alternating between art and music... Well, my school doesn't have either of those programs, and I've still survived! Think about Kirsten: her best friend DIED. Think about Kaya: She was KIDNAPPED. Samantha had to deal with issues around her such as hunger, poverty, and child abuse.

Okay, I'll stop before I get too overworked. :)

I still have hopes for this GOTY, American Girl. Don't let me down!

November 19, 2013

.I took a ticket for the long way round.

Let's just say that the title says everything.

I've been back and forth with band concerts, volleyball tournaments, school... my life is pretty crazy.

But volleyball is over, and my life has sort of returned to normal! :) So I'm pleased to say that I'm back and very excited! I'm going to try and get some posts ready over the weekend. See you soon!

Let's Mix It Up!

Ah, another series. Those don't work for me too well. ;P

I am going to try to stay true to this series, though! We are going to be talking about different doll brands (than American Girl). They might be 18" play dolls or collector's dolls, but we love them all!

You can feel free to send in a photo of your favorite non-AG doll, and we'll feature it! Let's Begin.

This is how the set up is going to look (This is also today's post ☺):

Today's Doll: Pullip

(This photo belongs to botsndolls.blogspot.com)
A little Wikipedia history:

Pullip dolls, from South Korea, are 12 inches tall.  They have so many points of articulation and their eyes can be moved by a lever in the back of the head sideways, up or down. Up to date there have been three "Types", which basically means that the body mold or articulation were changed due to malfunctions. There are over 100 different types of Pullip dolls out there, and a few different character lines.

Where can you buy them?

It looks like if you want to go back to the source you can go to pullip.net, but I would look for an American retailer if you don't want to pay so much shipping. Pullipstyle.com looks like a trustworthy U.S. site.

Do you have a Pullip doll?

ZingGinger makes great Pullip stopmotions! :) Check her out on Youtube (she also has a LOT of AGs).

I will do these posts about once a month. :)

A great tutorial

ilovesabie has made this GREAT video, and it helped me so much! It's also a lot of fun. :) Whether you're worried about styling your curly doll's hair because you don't want to knot it, or if your doll's hair has fallen into disrepair. Try it out!

I was Tagged!

Nina at American Girl and Other Awesomeness tagged me!

Doll Wishlist....

You're probably wondering if I have a doll wishlist.... well, the answer would be yes. :) Here is a Ribbet collage of my doll wishlist! :)

Now, I might not get any of these dolls, and if I do it will be one every year..... :) But I just really like these four dolls at the moment. :)

On a side note.... I am also quite partial to Mia right now (It's Emma's fault :P). :)

New Releases!

I totally wasn't expecting the fall releases, but they came around earlier this week! I'm going to show you my favorites. :)

I love this outfit! So cozy.

A really cute Coconut outfit.

I didn't get Mckenna's things but really liked them, I think this set looks like a lot of fun!

This release didn't impress me too much, but these were the outfits I liked. :) What is YOUR favorite part of the release?

Contest updates....

Well, today is the day that my contest is supposed to end.... but I don't know if you have a video that you're still working on or if you just didn't want to enter..... so I'm extending the deadline to the end of Sept. Just a reminder! :)

Also, sadly, I don't think that there are going to be any new AG Historicals this year..... they would've been released today and we didn't see any hints. :( So sadly, we'll have to wait until next year.

Contest!

Doll Diaries is FINALLY having an American Girl contest! :

This photo belongs to DD and shows everything that they are giving away.... to one person! That's a big haul! :) Anyways, go enter HERE!

Meet Lucy

Some of you probably have seen Lucy before... She was in my first stopmotion and a few of my posts.... but who is she?

Lucy is my sibling's doll, which she got in 2010, after I got Elizabeth, but she wasn't too crazy about it, so I am basically the owner of Lucy now :). You'll be seeing from her a bit more these days since my sister gave  her to me.

Some photos?
